The Mission of the Friends of the Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge organization is to promote a better understanding and appreciation for the natural environment of the Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge by enhancing public awareness and interest and by encouraging people to visit the Refuge to share in its environmental and educational programs.
